Leonardo is the herd sire, and the future of the Hairy Heifer family. He is the only purebred Mini Highland Silver Bull and has the longest lineage of any mini highland silver dun bull on the IMCBR registry. His ancestry is traceable to Rick Sanders and the Blue Dawn Farm in Portland, Oregon — pioneer of the breed. With his silver dun coat, cute little legs, and majestic horns, he is the purest definition of a Mini Highland Silver Bull. At just 36" tall he is the Gold Standard in Silver Dun.
Small Batch Louie 1792 ("Louie"), our beloved on-ranch herd sire at Small Batch Cattle Co., is a son of Leonardo. That silver dun excellence carries right on through.
